Dear Concord Staff and Families:
It is with mixed emotions I write this, to let you know that I will not be returning to Concord Boyne next school year. Concord has been my home away from home for 22 years; in fact, we’ve had a long-standing joke that we could never put showers here because I might not leave sometimes, during the busiest times of the school year. This school is very dear to my heart, and always will be, and I look forward to visiting whenever I can.
For some time, I’ve known that after my children graduated, I would like to move back downstate. Many of you know I travel for concerts and other events regularly, and I love the possibilities city life can bring. Now that my son is living his adult life, and my daughter is getting ready to leave for college, it seemed like a good time to consider my options.
I am very fortunate and grateful to have found a school district that values community just as much as Concord does, and I have accepted an Elementary Principal position with Utica Community Schools.
Although this just became official, my administrative team has already been preparing for this transition, and I will continue working at Concord through the end of July. I am committed to helping this transition be as seamless as possible, and to support the search for a new administrator. My position will be posted soon, and if you know of anyone who may be interested, please send them our way!
I’d like to sincerely thank all of you for your support, patience, and understanding as I’ve navigated the celebrations and challenges that we’ve endured over the last 14 years, and let you know that each one of you has impacted me. The beauty of a school community is found in the faces that create it, and I am very lucky to have been part of this one for so long!
Thank you again,
Rebekah Leist

The mechanic stayed late to get it done, and we're ready to roll! Miss Jules will see you all in the morning for her bus route!! 😊
Good afternoon, we are sorry to report that the mechanic is still working on Miss Julie's bus and her route will not be running this afternoon or tomorrow morning. We will continue to keep you updated!
Good Afternoon, we are sorry to report that Miss Julie's bus is still out of commission for this afternoon and tomorrow morning. Again, we apologize and will keep you updated!
Good Evening, Despite our hope that the EJ bus was fixed, the issue returned when we picked it up. We will not be able to pick up kids in the morning, but will keep you posted. I cannot apologize enough for the inconvenience; please know we are already working on a better solution for next year! Ms. Leist
